![Daniel Zhu: I am a junior pre-med major from California. I’m interested in basketball and table tennis because I love playing sports on a team with friends. We go once or twice a week and just hang out at the gym. It's really relaxing. All my friends play basketball and we watch NBA games together, which is really cool. I decided to come to Hofstra because I got into a great pre-med program. Actually I'm in the pre-med frat[ernity] now, which is nice. I got into pre-med studies because I found the field of medicine really interesting. As a doctor you can do research and help people, which is really cool.](https://thehofstrachronicle.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/dan-e1478668845398.jpg)
![Hao Dong: I love playing badminton and it is my biggest extracurricular interest. I started playing badminton when I was very young, because badminton is a very accessible and popular sport in China. Although I have never accepted professional teaching, I am really good at this sport. In China, I often played badminton with my friends in high school. And I also played it with my parents at home; my mom is a great player. After I came to Hofstra, I joined the badminton club here. Many club members there have excellent skills and our trainings are very interesting and competitive. I love our club very much. If you are interested in badminton, no matter you have any experience or not, joining this club is a great choice. Also, if you want to learn Mandarin, [you’re] welcome to practice with me!](https://thehofstrachronicle.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/hao-e1478668867125.jpg)
