stolen painting

As a senior art education/painting major. i had a painting in the student show in calkins hall. this painting was stolen sometime between friday april 30th and monday may 3rd. i need this painting for my portfolio and future job interviews. Aside my disgust and disappointment, i still have hope that the person who stole my painting will read this letter and return the painting to me. returning the paining would be simple: either call (516)463-5474 (fine arts dept. office) or drop off a letter to the fine art dept.(room 118 calkins hall) informing me where i could pick up the painting.
