Delaware 31, William & Mary 28
The College of William & Mary started off with a strong first quarter scoring three touchdowns, but couldn’t pull out the win in the end. Dominique Thompson had a phenomenal game catching six passes, four for touchdowns, and ending with a total of 244 receiving yards. QB Sonny Riccio of the University of Delaware passed for 302 yards and two touchdowns.
Rhode Island 27, Massachusetts 24
The run game was the story for the University of Rhode Island this weekend, as it combined for a total of 294 yards by seven different rushers. URI barely slipped by the University of Massachusetts, finishing with a mere 81 passing yards, and one lost fumble. QB Tim Day of UMASS threw for 230 yards, but also had four interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown.
Maine 35, Northeastern 26
QB Ron Whitcomb of the University of Maine threw three touchdown passes on Saturday, two of which were to WR Christian Pereira. Whitcomb spread the ball around, completing passes to 10 different receivers. Although Northeastern University had an impressive 472 yards of total offense, it could not get the job done. Northeastern WR Cory Parks averaged 16.8 yards on 10 receptions.
James Madison 26, Richmond 20
WR Ardon Bransford of James Madison University caught a 65 yard pass from Justin Rascati for a touchdown. QB Justin Rascati threw for 223 passing yards to a variety of 8 different receivers. James Madison finished the game with 455 yards of total offense and held the University of Richmond to only 34 yards rushing.
Villanova 41, Towson 6
Almost all of the Atlantic 10 games were close, except for this one. Villanova University embarrassed Towson University in their 41-6 victory. Villanova held Towson to only 183 yards of total offense and only allowed one touchdown. WR J.J. Outlaw finished with 114 yards and one touchdown reception.
