Hofstra field hockey head coach Kathy De Angelis announced her resignation on Wednesday, Jan. 30, according to Hofstra Athletics. The school’s announcement said De Angelis stepped down “to pursue other business interests.”
Being a freshman is difficult. It’s the first glimpse into an independent life where you don’t know nearly as many people, are responsible for all of your chores and now have to handle a new and demanding course load. Now, picture all of that, along with juggling practice, travel and games for a Division I team. And you’re also from a foreign country, with English as your second language.
Despite solid play in the first half and holding the lead for nearly 12 minutes, the Pride suffered their fourth loss of the season, 3-1, to the Yale Bulldogs at Johnson Field in New Haven, Connecticut on Friday, Sept. 7.
