1. Los Angeles Rams (Previous Rank: 3)
The Rams were on full display Sunday afternoon as they beat down on the defending champs. Both sides of the ball were electric and unstoppable. Matthew Stafford looks to be the key piece this team was looking for to compete for a Super Bowl win. He ended the game with 343 passing yards and four TDs. He will continue to build his MVP campaign Sunday against the undefeated Cardinals.
2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Previous Rank: 1)
The Bucs faced their first difficult task as we saw what could be a potential NFC Championship game. The Bucs were not their usual selves as they took a while to get going on the offensive end and were not a match for the Rams defensively. Their run game was non-existent as Tom Brady led them with 14 rushing yards. He did have a great game himself, ending with a total of 446 yards and a TD. They will look to move on and get back in the win column this week against Brady’s former team the New England Patriots.
3. Buffalo Bills (Previous Rank: 4)
The Bills are firing on all cylinders as they dismantled a well assembled Washington defense. Allen returned to his MVP-like form by having an amazing five TD, 367-yard game. The Bills defense continues to wreak havoc on every offense they see, as they ended the game with two interceptions. They will look to take care of business this week against Davis Mills and the Texans.
4. Green Bay Packers (Previous Rank: 5)
The Packers offensive trio of Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones and Davante Adams had themselves yet another monster performance as they led Green Bay to a great win over a well-built 49ers defense. This was one of the more exciting games of the week as it featured yet another game-winning drive from Aaron Rodgers, capped off with a Mason Crosby game-winning field goal. The Packers look much better since the week one disaster as they look to make it three wins in a row this week against the Steelers at home.
5. Cleveland Browns (Previous Rank: 6)
The Browns defense was the story in this one. Totaling nine sacks against Bears rookie QB Justin Fields. They also held the rookie to a mere 68 passing yards. Not to mention, they welcomed back a healthy Odell Beckham Jr. Baker has the offense in full blast, as the running game looks better than ever. The Browns are no joke and look like a very serious Super Bowl Contender. They look to make it three in a row this week against the Vikings.
6. Kansas City Chiefs (Previous Rank: 2)
The Chiefs looked nothing short of disastrous on Sunday, losing to a much-less talented Chargers team at home. The Chiefs have now dropped their last two and sit at the bottom of the AFC West. Patrick Mahomes was not his usual self as he could not complete many of his passes and through an unusual two picks. I still believe it is too early to push the panic button, but they will look to rebound in a much-needed win this week against the Eagles.
7. Baltimore Ravens (Previous Rank: 9)
The Ravens got it done against the winless Lions on Sunday, in huge part due to Lamar Jackson’s 4th and 19 conversion. Followed by a historic 66-yard field goal by Justin Tucker, which broke the record for the longest in NFL history. The Ravens will look to ride this momentum into this week against the Broncos in Denver.
8. Arizona Cardinals (Previous Rank: 10)
The Cardinals once again took care of business for their third straight win led by MVP favorite Kyler Murray who put up an astonishing 335 yards and a TD. The WR core on this team is showing to be very deep by 100+ yard performances by both Christian Kirk and AJ Green. They will look to stay undefeated this week as they take on the division rival Rams.
9. Las Vegas Raiders (Previous Rank: 15)
The Raiders stay undefeated as they take care of business in overtime against the Dolphins. Derek Carr is becoming a dark horse candidate for MVP as he leads the offense with 386 passing yards and two TDs. Peyton Barber also had a surprise 142 yards and a TD performance with Josh Jacobs out. They will look to stay atop of the division this week against the Chargers on Monday Night Football.
10. San Francisco 49ers (Previous Rank: 7)
The 49ers played the Packers tough and lost off an Aaron Rodgers game winning drive. The offense, led by Jimmy Garoppolo, played well putting up a respectable 28 points. The Packers’ high-powered offense was too much for them as they look to rebound against their division rival Seahawks on Sunday.
11. Tennessee Titans (Previous Rank: 11)
The Titans edged out a so far disappointing Colts team, behind another great performance by Derrick Henry who ended with nearly 150 total yards. They face the Jets on the road next week as they look to make it three wins in a row.
12. New Orleans Saints (Previous Rank: 14)
The Saints’ defense beat up on an inexperienced Mac Jones, forcing three INTs and holding the Patriots offense to a season low 13 points. Jameis Winston served as a fantastic game manager, not over doing it but doing just enough to secure a Saints win. They take on the winless Giants this week at home.
13. Dallas Cowboys (Previous Rank: 13)
The Cowboys offense looks electric! Led by QB Dak Prescott who finished with an outstanding 238 passing yards and three TDs. RB Ezekiel Elliott also looks like he is reverting back to his old form behind that healthy offensive line. The Cowboys look primed to win their division by quite a big margin as well. They face the Panthers at home this week.
14. Los Angeles Chargers (Previous Rank: 21)
The Chargers walked into Kansas City and marched away with a win. Led by two fantastic performances by QB Justin Herbert and WR Mike Williams. Herbert ended the game with almost 300 yards and four TDs. While Williams ended with an emphatic 122 and two TD’s. The defense was able to discomfort Mahomes into throwing 2 INTs. They look to go for two straight on Monday against the red-hot Raiders.
15. Seattle Seahawks (Previous Rank: 8)
The Seahawks defense looked like a complete wreck on Sunday giving up close to 500 total yards and 30 points. The only bright spots were Russell
Wilson being Russell Wilson and Chris Carson had himself an overall solid game ending with 80 rushing yards and a touchdown. They look to put this one past them and get back to 500 this week against the Niners.
16. Denver Broncos (Previous Rank: 20)
The Broncos made light work of the winless Jets on Sunday. Winning in blowout fashion 26-0. The defense played snagging two INTs and making Zach Wilson’s rookie campaign even worse. They will look to remain undefeated this week as they take on the Ravens at home.
17. Carolina Panthers (Previous Rank: 18)
Sam Darnold continues to shine in Carolina, even without his star RB Christian McCaffery next to him for most of the game. The QB ended the game with 315 total yards and two TDs. The defense also continues to play well. They’ll travel to Dallas this week and try to go for a 4-0 start.
18. Minnesota Vikings (Previous Rank: 25)
The Vikings outplayed the Seahawks in almost every aspect on Sunday. Kirk Cousins had himself another fantastic performance finishing with 325 yards and two touchdowns. Alexander Mattison filled in nicely for an injured Dalvin Cook, ending the game with 171 total yards. They look to get win number two this week against the Browns at home.
19. Cincinnati Bengals (Previous Rank: 28)
Joe Burrow and the Bengals flipped the switch from last week and put up a dominant performance on both sides of the ball vs. the Steelers. Joe Burrow and Jamarr Chase look primed to be the next great QB/WR in the league. Burrow ended with 179 yards and three TDs and Chase with 65 yards and two TDs. The defense also looked much better this week grabbing two INTs. They’ll take on the Jags this week at home.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers (Previous Rank: 12)
The Steelers were not great Sunday to say the least. The offense could not get going and looked like one of the worst overall scoring offenses in the last few years. The only bright spot at all was Najee Harris who looked to finally get into some rhythm. They will try and regroup and get the offense going this week in Green Bay.
21. New England Patriots (Previous Rank: 17)
The Patriots simply were not good Sunday as a dominant Saints defense picked apart Rookie Mac Jones. Their defense was also not great. It was an overall ugly loss for the Patriots as they try to rebound next week against Tom Brady and the Bucs on Sunday Night Football.
22. Detroit Lions (Previous Rank: 29)
The Lions were a 4th and 19 and one 66-yard field goal away from beating the Baltimore Ravens. The Lions have played well in each of their first three games, they just cannot find a way to come out with a win. They will seek their first win Sunday against the Bears.
23.Atlanta Falcons (Previous Rank: 30)
The Falcons got in the win column Sunday against the Giants, led by a good performance from Matt Ryan. He ended with 243 passing yards and two TDs. They will face Washington at home this week.
24. Miami Dolphins (Previous Rank: 22)
The Tua-less Dolphins played much better than they did last week. They played the undefeated Raiders very tough and came up just short in overtime. They will look to pick up a win this week against the 0-3 Colts on Sunday.
25. Washington Football Team (Previous Rank: 19)
The Washington Football Team was a complete and utter disaster Sunday in Buffalo. The defense got carved up by Josh Allen and company for 43 points, while the offense could not get any rhythm going. They will put this one past them and look to get back on track against the Falcons this week.
26. Philadelphia Eagles (Previous Rank: 24)
The Eagles’ defense was no match for the high-powered Cowboys offense. But the one bright spot for the team was on the offensive end as QB Jalen Hurts had himself another overall solid performance. He ended the game with 361 total yards and two TDs. They take on a very tough matchup with the Chiefs this week.
27. Indianapolis Colts (Previous Rank: 16)
The Colts can’t seem to put it together as they drop their third straight game. Another lackluster performance as the Colts offense has not clicked yet. They will look to turn the season around in week four against the Dolphins.
28. Chicago Bears (Previous Rank: 23)
The Bears simply need to move on from head coach Matt Nagy. This past Sunday was one of the worst game plans and had some of the worst play calling I, along with most NFL fans, have ever seen. Nagy put rookie QB Justin Fields in a position to fail right from the jump – it does not get much worse than this. Something needs to change for Chicago and fast. They will try again this week against the Lions.
29. Houston Texans (Previous Rank: 26)
– The Davis Mills-led Texans struggled as expected. They battled all game but Carolina’s defense proved to be too much as they could not get anything going offensively. They await the return of QB Tyrod Taylor, but for the meantime they will continue to be underdogs in most matchups. They take on the Bills in Orchard Park this week.
30. New York Giants (Previous Rank: 27)
The Giants offense was held to a mere 14 points against a very weak Falcons defense. The Giants have not been good and look to be getting worse week after week. RB Saquon Barkley still does not look 100% as the offense continues its struggles. They have the Saints in New Orleans this week.
31. Jacksonville Jaguars (Previous Rank: 31)
The Jaguars are simply not good. QB Trevor Lawrence has still yet to improve his turnover problem. As Urban Meyer’s tries to navigate his way through the NFL season. They will look to pick up their first win next week against Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
32. New York Jets (Previous Rank: 32)
Zach Wilson has been the worst starting QB in the league this season. As his
rookie season continues he has developed a severe turnover problem. Adding two more picks this past week. He must play better if the Jets want to win any games this season. They will try again Sunday against the Titans.
