It’s the first glimpse into an independent life where you don’t know nearly as many people, are responsible for all of your chores and now have to handle a new and demanding course load. Now, picture all of that, along with juggling practice, travel and games for a Division I team. And you’re also from a foreign country, with English as your second language.

Georgianna scores first career goal in shootout win over Sacred Heart

Mother Nature sabotaged the afternoon with not one, but two lightning delays – causing the first half to last over two hours. On top of the lightning delays, regulation time wasn’t enough to produce a decision. The Pride went to their second shootout of the season, and much like their first against Virginia Commonwealth University, came out with a 2-1 win.

Field hockey falls to Yale University for fourth loss of the season

Despite solid play in the first half and holding the lead for nearly 12 minutes, the Pride suffered their fourth loss of the season, 3-1, to the Yale Bulldogs at Johnson Field in New Haven, Connecticut on Friday, Sept. 7.
