Professor Miguel-Angel Zapata organized The Great Hispanic Writers Series. He invited Efraín Bartolomé, a famous Mexican poet and professor whose work comprises over 25 titles. These works are in four anthologies, two in Mexico and two in Spain. He read his poetry to students and other faculty members in Spanish.

Christine Acuna, Multimedia Editor
Christine Acuna is a senior film studies & production major with a fine arts minor. She has served as the Multimedia Editor for the Chronicle since April 2026, previously as the Assistant Multimedia Editor since September 2025, and has served as a Staff Photographer since December 2024. In addition to the Chronicle, Christine is also a member and currently the Service Chair of Alpha Phi Omega, a member of the Rabinowitz Honors College, a student aide at the Office of Orientation & New Student Programs, involved in Heat shows such as a Staff Writer for Up All Night, and currently an Intern at the Catholic Faith Network. She has experience working behind the scenes in film & television sets and experience in photographing events. Follow her on all of her social media to check out her work.
