It is a little surreal that this is the last thing I will ever write for The Hofstra Chronicle. This club has held such a special place in my life ever since I walked into my first budget meeting as a freshman. It’s hard to imagine a version of my life without it.
I would like to first thank my predecessors, Ethan Albin and Makenzie Hurt. If it wasn’t for the two of them and the welcoming environment they created in the Opinion section, I don’t know how long I would have stayed with the Chronicle. I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with both of them, but I am even more fortunate to be able to call them my friends.
I would like to recognize the two people that I watched grow right under my nose: Anthony Favilla and Tom Saxa. Seeing what the two of them have developed into before my eyes has been one of the most validating things in my life. To say I am impressed would be an understatement, and I could not be more confident in the hands the Opinion section is left in.
Lastly, my partners in crime, Tim Daly and Ryan Monke. I could not have picked two better people to run a section with. From running Opinion together to the many adventures we have been on in our personal lives, I am honored to have done it all with the two of them.
The Chronicle is truly a special place full of so many special people. I would like to thank anyone who has read anything I have written. Though my time has come to an end, I cannot overstate the gratitude I have for this organization and the opportunities it has provided me.
