The Hofstra Pride blanked the Manhattan Jaspers en route to a 7-0 victory at Dutchess Stadium Wednesday night. Hofstra improves to 13-19 on the season while the Jaspers fall to 9-23.
David Leiderman continued his hot streak with a hit and two RBIs on the day. This was his 14th hit in the past five games, while also driving in 17 runs. This is also the second straight game where the Pride has had 14 hits.
With the shutout against NYIT, the Pride has only allowed one run in the past two games. Adam Seibert got his second victory of the season, pitching five scoreless innings while allowing only three hits but notched six strikeouts.
Adam Heidenfelder, Kevin Weissheier, Matt Weissheier and Chris Weiss each pitched a scoreless inning, while allowing one hit amongst the four of them.
Brad Witowski and Steven Foster each went 3-4 on the day. Witowski drove in three runs and Foster scored three times. Dalton Rouleau collected two hits and an RBI, Chris Hardardt joined him as well by collecting two hits.
Tom Cosgrove took a tally in the loss column for Manhattan, allowing four runs on nine hits in six innings while also striking out seven.
