Dr. C. Roland Wagner, a faculty member at the University from 1960 to his retirement in 1999, has died.
Wagner received his bachelor of arts in 1947 from Bucknell University, his master’s degree from Columbia University in 1952 and his Ph.D. from Yale University in 1952. He was appointed as Associate Professor of Philosophy and Teaching Fellow of New College in 1960, becoming a member of the tenured faculty in 1963. He was promoted to Professor of Philosophy in 1970, and also served as Area Coordinator in New College.
He was appointed Professor Emeritus at the time of his retirement.
