Hofstra University showed their support by pooling their resources for student organizations that let campus thrive, and fundraising for good causes in the community. Delta Phi Omega used a charity basketball game to raise money for the Nanubhai Education Foundation, which provides access to higher education for people living in rural areas of India. With 12 teams, this annual event was the biggest yet. The Pride’s baseball team also fundraised at their annual First Pitch dinner, which not only saw key players awarded for their efforts in the 2024 season, but allowed parents and alumni to raise funds for the upcoming season via a raffle and merchandise sale. Lastly, it was the university’s turn to give at the Residence Hall Assocation’s Big Bucks Bingo event, where students had the opportunity to win an iPad and Nintendo Switch among other prizes. These events will continue to support the community for years to come!
Fundraising and Fun-Raising
Students of the Pride were busy this weekend, both in raising money for good causes and winning some goodies for themselves!
