Hofstra had a busy summer while students were away, creating new additions to campus life. This included renovations on the 10th floor of Axinn Library, Halal Shack, a new dining option in the David S. Mack Student Center, and a fresh coat of paint in Hofstra USA.

Assistant director of campus recreation, Paul Lastella, gives two thumbs up for Resident Hall Association’s (RHA) Back to School Pool Party which took place in the Hofstra Swim Center on Sunday, Sept. 8. The event was in collaboration with Campus Recreation, OSLE, SGA and Honors College. The event brought over 200 people to the pool, where bucket hats were distributed to the first 100 attendees.
Throughout September Welcome, OSLE is offering ‘Movie Night in Pride Park!’. On Friday, Sept. 6, Bad Boys: Ride or Die played at dusk. OSLE screened Inside Out 2 as a drive-in feature in the parking lot of Hofstra USA on Sept. 12 at 7pm.
Hofstra’s fall sports have returned to play as well. On Sept. 2, Men’s Soccer hit the pitch to face Binghamton, winning the match 3-2. September Welcome festivities will continue for all new and returning students through Fall Fest, on Sept. 28.
