The Hofstra American Marketing Association’s Annual Marketing Week is fast approaching. Marketing Week is an annual event held by collegiate American Marketing Association (AMA) chapters all across the nation; this year Hofstra’s will take place October 1-6. It is a chance for the Marketing Association to showcase the benefits of both marketing and the AMA. HAMA is hosting a week full of events to benefit both business and non-business majors alike. In the past, HAMA has done marketing week events such as the Dos and Don’ts of Professional Dress (which will be coming back in early November) as well as graphic design and product placement workshops. This year HAMA has an exciting itinerary planned for the Hofstra community, including a coffee mixer with the Zarb Business School professors and a team-building ropes course event.
Marketing Week is a fantastic opportunity for members to get involved with the club as well as the marketing industry. The events composing marketing week are planned in order to help students grow their careers through networking opportunities and actual marketing experience. For example, this year HAMA is proud to be partnering with Pride Athletics to give interested members the opportunity to gain real Sports Marketing experience as well as to boost school pride.
HAMA works extremely hard to be able to offer great connections and opportunities to Hofstra students; the Annual Marketing Week being one of many. To find out more information on HAMA and how to get involved, like HAMA at facebook.com/HofstraAMA.
