-On October 8, a staff member reported that when came to work, she discovered that the keyboard and mouse to her computer, in the New Academic Building, were missing. An investigation is being conducted.
-On October 9, a student reported that when he returned to his vehicle parked in field 6, his GPS, registration and insurance card were stolen. An investigation is being conducted.
-On October 9, a public safety officer on patrol stopped a car and discovered that two students and non-student, James Dolber of East Moriches, were smoking weed. When questioned, they also came forward with two bags of marijuana and two pills, which were confiscated by public safety. The students were issued appearance summons and the non-student was banned from campus.
-A student in front of Breukelen Residence Hall verbally abused a residence assistant when she confronted him after she saw him drop a bottle of alcohol on October 9.
-While on patrol on October 11, public safety caught four students and non-student Juillane Rousson entering campus near the Oak Street entrance gate. The students were issued appearance summonses and the non-student was banned from campus.
-Non-student Kevin Callahan was taken to the Hofstra Information Center and banned from campus for punching through the glass fire extinguisher case in Williamsburg Hall on October 11. A student was also issued an appearance summons for actions of his guest who verbally abused public safety, and was issued a summons.
