A Lackmann Employee reported to Public Safety that he witnessed a student put a bottle of water in his backpack and walk out without paying on April 21. The student was stopped by a PSO, given a summons and the water was taken from him.
The smell of marijuana coming from a room in Rensselaer House caused an RA to knock on the door. The occupants of the room refused to open the door and a PSO responded and keyed into the room. Both residents of the room were inside, along with the odor of marijuana, but no marijuana was recovered. Both residents were given summonses on April 21.
A Hofstra tow truck driver reported to Public Safety that a student was trying to remove a boot put on his car for illegally parking in the rear of Breslin Hall on April 22. The student was given a summons.
Michael Hollander was taken to the HIC and banned from campus on April 22 after an RA reported to Public Safety that the odor of marijuana was coming from a room in Alliance Hall. When Public Safety responded they found Hollander, along with the resident of the room, and a glass marijuana pipe. The resident received a summons.
An iPod was reported stolen on April 23 after a student said she left it unattended while studying in the Axinn Library. It was gone when she came back.
Three male youths were seen by a PSO throwing toilet paper in the trees on April 23. One of the youths ran away when confronted by Public Safety and the other two were taken to the HIC, banned from campus, and released to their parents.
A male student was given a summons on April 24 when he tried to get into Netherlands North by using a female student’s Hofstra ID. The female also received a summons.
Splattered eggs were found on both sides of a student’s vehicle that was parked in parking field 7. The student reported that it happened sometime between 12 p.m. on April 23 and 4:20 p.m. on April 24.
